Manchester City playmaker, Kevin De Bruyne, will snub a bumper £1million-a-week deal to join Saudi Arabian side Al-Ittihad this summer.
The Belgian has opted to stay with the Premier League champions after discussing the potential move with his family.
Al-Ittihad manager, Laurent Blanc, was confident about the club’s chances of signing De Bruyne.
But according to the UK Mirror, the player will remain with Pep Guardiola’s side for at least another year, due to concerns about uprooting his family.
De Bruyne and his wife, Michele, have “particular reservations about changing the schooling of eldest son Mason Milian”.
However, the 33-year-old is now entering the final 12 months of his current contract.
